Aidan - Aidan is much older than he looks. He fought in the American Revolution and was turned into a vampire by James Bishop. The two have had a varying relationship throughout the decades, culminating in Aidan beheading Bishop in the Season 1 finale.

Josh - Josh and a friend were attacked one evening by a werewolf, killing his friend and leaving Josh with a horrible curse. Josh ran away from his parents and sister for fear of hurting them with his condition. Through an unlikely friendship with fellow supernatural Aidan, Josh is able to become a hospital porter, even though he had much grander dreams for his future.
Josh is played by Sammy Huntington, he is on Twitter.
Sally - When Aidan & Josh rent a Boston brownstone to start a new life as "humans", they don't expect for the supernatural to follow them inside. That changes when they learn that Sally, the ghost of their landlord's girlfriend, is haunting the location. Throughout Season 1, Sally learns more details about her death and must evade the wrath of her ex-boyfriend, all while supporting her two new friends.

Nora - Nora is Josh's on and off again girlfriend who, even after becoming pregnant with his baby, is unaware of Josh's condition. Everything is revealed to her when she follows Josh to his hiding room and is scratched as he transforms. It is implied that the baby was miscarried (Sam Huntington also mentioned this in an interview).
Bishop - Bishop is the vampire leader of Boston and a police officer. He is older than Aidan and their relationship has had it ups and downs throughout the decades. In Season 1, he becomes increasingly obsessed with revealing the vampires to the world, but his plans are stopped when the Elders arrive. He attempts to murder all of them and only one of them escapes. Aidan and Bishop finally end their rivalry at the end of Season 1 when he is beheaded.

Season 1
Ray - Josh meets Ray one morning after he transforms into a werwolf. Ray is revealed to be the one who turned Josh into what he is.
Danny - Danny is Sally's former boyfriend and the landlord of their house. Sally learns that he murdered her and at the end of Season 1, he is admits to his crimes.
Bernie - Bernie is the young boy that Aidan meets and tries to protect from bullying. When his life is in danger, Rebecca turns Bernie into a vampire. After Bernie attacks two young boys, Aidan is forced to stake him.
Rebecca - Aidan accidentaly turned fellow hospital worker Rebecca one night. At first she is enthralled by her new existence, but is soon overwhelmed and disgusted by it. She asks Aidan to stake her to end her suffering at the end of Season 1.
